Pop Rox creator, Carol Van Zandt with Andover Fabrics let me use some of her new fabric line in the Sugar color way to make some samples.  I was so excited because

  1. Free Fabric
  2. How cute and springtime/Easter perfect is this fabric!
  3. I got to make whatever I wanted.

So here is my first project, my favorite softie, the hippo made from Two Little Banshees Harry Hippo pattern at Never Enough Hours on Etsy.  Who needs a bunny, when you can get a hippo in your Easter basket. I must say that she turned out so cute in her bright orange chevrons. Even her rear end was cute!

Second idea was the Beatle Bag pattern by Abbey Lane Quilts that I bought last year at the Houston International Quilt Festival.  This is the third bag I have made, and they make great gifts for quilting buddies.  I think the mix of the fabrics makes a crazy fun bag.  I had a blast putting all of them together to make this.
